10 years in China

After being back in the Netherlands for two months it slowly starts to sink in. I did it! I followed my gut, pushed through and all is now history. My China dream became real! From 2011 till recently I lived and worked in China, just a bit over 10 years. It was a dream that started on 16th January 2005. Yes it took me more than 6 years. Some call me a slow mover, but hey I tell myself that in case of life changing dreams it might take a few years to progress.

I am super excited for the next years don't get me wrong, that is for sure. But so damn proud that I managed to make my dream of living and working in China a reality. Not sure if you heard about the rocking chair principle. It basically means that when you are old and look back, that you can look back without regrets. This decade will be remembered for sure.

I am not writing this brag. See this more as a "dream scream". Something that hopefully inspires others to share their dream or even dream scream. Or if you don't have one to start creating your dream. I can so recommend getting out your comfort zone. By living in other countries. By being open to other ways of living. If you do chase your dream or currently living your dream please remember to embrace the journey with gratitude.

My highlight of these 10 years has been the journey itself. Highs and lows all made it a reality. It made me who I am today and tomorrow and the years beyond.
